Women in Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) Award

Purpose of the award

Innovation has been placed at the heart of the Europe 2020 strategy, as has been gender. A recent COST initiative has been started to promote a more equitable representation of women in the world of innovation and research (www.genderste.eu).

The management committee of the IC1301 COST action has proposed and approved the award as a first initiative to encourage and sustain women, especially young researchers, to actively participate in emerging technology research fields, as the Wireless Power Transfer.

The award will consist of recognizing and providing financial assistance to women researchers who show promise and interest in pursuing novel research results in the area of Wireless Power Transfer to participate to the IC1301 WiPE COST meetings and/or training schools.

Award

The IC1301 COST action will sponsor the travel of the winner to one of its meetings, workshops or training schools: this includes the trip, hotel, meals and necessary local transportation.
